The Bravura 52 is designed to be a very high performance racer for both inshore and offshore races. While it can be trimmed to meet the requirements of the Transpac 41/52 rule, it is intended to be faster than the first generation TP/52’s, particularly in local buoy races. The hull meets the minimum requirements for length, beam and freeboards and the rig fits within the parameters of the rule as well.

Construction is to be vacuum bagged carbon/epoxy composite for the hull, deck and rudder. The keel incorporates a cast magnesium/bronze fin with lead bulb. Both fixed and canting keels are offered. The canting keel configuration includes a vertical daggerboard abaft of the keel. The spars are carbon fiber with triple aft swept spreaders, thus eliminating the need for running backstays. Chainplates are located outboard and the longest LP for a headsail is 105%. Interior structures are foam cored carbon/epoxy composite.
